Learning: connect with your surrounding, know where your partners are and pay attention to auditive sound to respond as quickly as you can.
Everyone takes their Jo (make sure they know which one is theirs) and start walking in the dojo, like an old man. When the sensei claps once, everyone has to freeze. If they still move, they are out and have to sit beside the tatami. (Until next round.) When sensei claps twice, everyone has to switch Jo. If you couldn’t catch a Jo, you are out. When two people have the same Jo; the one with the hand on top of the Jo can stay.
Tip: Usually it’s easier to clap first once before directly twice (otherwise the Jo isn’t steady on the tatami).
